We have an exciting opportunity for you as General Accountant to join our enthusiastic pre-opening team at Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina.
As a general accountant, you are responsible for assisting in maintaining a smooth operation within the Finance Department by reviewing payroll reports and conducting internal controls in compliance with all policies, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledgers
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations
- To support when needed, finance sections for Income, AR & AP & GC
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing and payment
- Conduct periodic internal audits and assist with external audits
- Analyze financial data and provide financial insights to management
- Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with the ability to positively coach and motivate the team to success. Ideally, the candidate would have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in a 5-star hotel, be able to handle a multinational team, and have a bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. The position required high organizational skills, high motivation, a focus on training and developing staff members, and good administrative skills.
