COST ACCOUNTANT – SFFECO GLOBAL Dubai

General Summary of Position

• The cost accountant position is accountable for the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities. The cost accountant must also construct and monitor those cost-effective data accumulation systems needed to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management. Also responsible for cost accounting, which involves analyzing financial data, obtained through evaluation, to determine the cost of business products and services. Responsible for performing rate calculations and for product and cost estimates. Comparing actual cost to estimates and identifying reasons for variances. Providing management with detailed reports for use in making business decisions and controlling expenditures. Providing financial analysis to evaluate special projects, programs, product costing, etc., when necessary. Lead in developing and verifying data relevant to cost accounting and margin analysis.
• Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• • Development of good cost accounting systems in two ways
  • Pricing structure
  • Cost structure.
  • Making proper profitability analysis of job orders
  • Report on breakeven points by products, work centers, and factories
  • Report on profitability margins by product and division
  • Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances, prices, and quantity variance
  • Analyze capital budgeting—buy or rental decisions or new and proposed products.
• SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a similar position.
  • ICMA/CMA bachelor degree similar position.
  • Expertise in understanding complex cost structure/pricing structure
  • Able to make expenses analysis and cost computations
  • Knowledge of Tally system or accounting packages will be added advantages
  • Oracle knowledge will be added advantages
