Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time at a computer. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs occasionally.
Shift
Days Monday–Friday with an occasional after-hours or weekend event, 15-20 hours per week.
Job Summary
The College of Nursing is seeking a marketing assistant to assist with the communications group. The marketing assistant will work with the UK College of Nursing communications director and associate on various marketing and communications projects to help promote the college and develop and enhance their skillset. These projects include:

Developing social media plans and content and managing social media accounts; Conducting interviews and writing stories that highlight the students, staff, faculty, and alumni of the College to be published on the College’s website and various University outlets; Designing graphics and printed materials through Canva or Adobe software; Creating and distributing email newsletters; occasional photography and videography; and assisting with the promotion and production of college events.

Some projects can be adjusted to fit internship course requirements if needed.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Experience with Canva or Adobe, Microsoft Office, and other communications-related software. Ability to adapt and modify schedule quickly based upon needs of the college and attention to detail. Adherence to university marketing policies is required.
