SUMMARY

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records. This role involves helping manage the monthly close cycle, overseeing account reconciliations, and preparing journal entries. The ideal candidate is dependable, has strong work ethic, and enjoys both individual and collaborative work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs general ledger accounting while ensuring adherence and compliance to US GAAP
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations.
• Codes vendor invoices to proper cost centers
• Supports system’s master data for proper financial reporting
• Supports month end close.
• Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
• Assist external auditors gathering information and supporting documentation
• Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• Supports preparation of financial statements for senior management.
• Conduct variance analysis on the financial statements to provide insight on financial performance, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
• Identifies areas of improvement and supports assistant controller with special projects.

Requirements:Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
• 2+ years accounting/finance experience with demonstrated progression in responsibility
• ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, MD, CSI)
• Experience using accounting software and be comfortable adapting to new systems
• Ability to follow generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
