Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Junior Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in the Accounting Department, including maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with close processes. In addition, the Junior Staff Accountant will support the Senior Staff Accountants, Controller and VP of Finance as needed and respond to information requests and inquiries from the Management team.
Essential job functions and duties, including but not limited to:

Perform various month end journal entries and account reconciliations.

Support Senior Staff Accountants with reporting and analysis needs.

Assist with internal control reviews and process improvement initiatives.

Assist with cash management and corporate credit card expense recognition.

Assist with internal & external financial statement audits, and tax audits.

Perform ad hoc projects as assigned throughout the year.

Provide backup for other roles within the accounting department.

Be a contributor to routine monthly and quarterly management reporting deliverables.
Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an accounting or finance related role required.

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.

Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the US) required.
Required Skills

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.

Ability and willingness to keep and maintain confidential information.

Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.

Be able to work in a team-based environment.

Have strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to perform the essential job functions, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards safely and successfully.
