Full job description
- MD/DO Degree or Equivalent
- Eligible for a Kentucky Medical License
- Completed an accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship
- Board eligible/Board Certified in both Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine
- Board certification in Internal Medicine
- Board certification in Pulmonary Disease and/or Critical Care Medicine, or Sleep Medicine
- Fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and/or Critical Care Medicine, or Sleep Medicine
- Eligible for medical licensure in Kentucky
Candidates will be expected to play a leadership role in the growth and development of the lung transplant program as well as participate in the care of inpatients in the UK Lung Transplant program, the evaluation of patients for lung transplant listing both inpatient and outpatient, and outpatient post-transplant care. Candidates will have the opportunity and are encouraged to be involved in the teaching of University of Kentucky medical students, residents, and fellows. There are also opportunities to participate in patient-oriented research in the areas of advanced lung diseases, and lung transplantation. Salaries and academic rank are commensurate with experience.
