Reports to: Director of Finance
Summary/Objective
The finance operations accountant is a key member of our growing finance and operations team. This position, under the supervision of the Director of Finance, is expected to support the Finance Department. This role involves supporting our Sage Intacct Financial Software, researching and implementing software efficiencies, maintaining the employee credit card program, and collaborating with the Facilities Department to learn, implement, and train on the purchasing module.
Essential Functions
- Work closely with other departments to gather financial data and provide support
- Provide comprehensive support for Sage Intacct Financial Software, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
- Research and implement software efficiencies to streamline financial processes and improve productivity.
- Maintain and oversee the employee credit card program, ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with the purchasing manager in the facilities department to learn, implement, and train staff on the purchasing module.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on Sage Intacct and the purchasing module to ensure effective use of the software.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and training materials.
- Identify and resolve issues related to Sage Intacct and the purchasing module, providing timely support to users.
- Generate and analyze reports to support financial decision-making and track software performance.
- Conduct financial analysis, ensuring accurate reporting, and provide insights to senior management.
- Communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Ad-hoc financial reporting as requested
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, and work procedures, including strict deadlines and instructions.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures in addition to regulations, laws, and other requirements from applicable governing bodies, certification, licensure, and/or accreditation entities, etc.
- This job operates in a professional, remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Education, Skills, Experience, and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of three years of Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- One year of demonstrated experience with financial systems implementation.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing financial software solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record, if applicable.

Work Hours: This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel Requirements: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected on occasion.
