We are seeking a tech-savvy, detail-oriented Accounting & Tax Assistant to support our growing client base. This hybrid role includes daily bookkeeping tasks, monthly financial prep, and seasonal tax return support. You’ll be a key part of a small, collaborative team committed to excellent service and long-term client success. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Record and reconcile transactions.
- Payroll and Sales Tax
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports.
- Organize and manage client data in CRM.
- Communicate with clients regarding missing or unclear transactions
Tax Preparation Support
- Organize and scan client tax documents.
- Prepare business and personal tax returns.
- Track deadlines for extensions and estimated tax payments.
- Assist with e-filing and follow-up communications.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and research tax issues.
- Answer calls and emails from clients in a timely manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- General proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Quality communication between staff and clients.
- Attention to detail and organized.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
- Proven experience in accounting roles with a focus on accounting, budgeting, and tax accounting.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and general ledger reconciliation processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $70,005.66 per year
